Beautifully Bizarre – Unusual White Pearl Creations
These may not be classic styles, but if you want talking pieces consider something like the pearl elephant ring from Heavenly Treasures. In a less bizarre design, but still with a teeny bit of a colorful twist, there’s a white pearl ring with diamonds and rubies that’s a showstopper! This piece is only $498 but just look what it has: arranged like flower petals in a circle are alternating 7 rubies and 7 diamonds with an 8mm white cultured pearl at the heart of this blooming creation. It’s all been perfectly mounted on a 14k white gold ring that’s wide enough to hold the sparkle of .27 carats of diamonds and .30 carats of rubies, and the iridescent luster of the pearl. Black and White Pearl Rings
We couldn’t possibly talk about white pearls without showing you some black and white pearl rings as well. This cluster pearl ring features black onyx and white pearls speckled with .18 ctw of diamonds in a solid white gold band. Ross Simons newest black and white pearl ring in a class all of its own, not just because of its price, but due to the craftsmanship and exquisite quality of the piece. It has a giant 16mm white South Sea pearl, and to give it some contrasting black, it features black and white diamonds, in fact over 6 carats of diamonds in a ruffle around the central pearl. This is not your average cocktail ring, it’s a collectors item, costing $10, 995. It may not be within your budget, but oh, it doesn’t hurt to dream, and if it helps at all, Adin has a payment plan called Bill Me Later, which allows for no payments during 6 months!
Classic Antique White Pearl Ring
If classic is more your style, then you’ll be glad to see we’ve also found some antique pearl rings that feature white pearls, ideal as engagement rings or anniversary gifts. The first piece we think is divine is from Adin Antique Jewelry. It’s a singular piece, early Art Deco circa 1920, called a “Toi & Moi” ring that features a white pearl on one side and a brilliant cut diamond, .11 carats, set in white and yellow 18k gold. It’s a classic French design, but is thought to have created in Belgium. The delicacy of this unique ring is obvious. It cost $941. Classic white pearl rings don’t get better than this!
For an affordable antique white pearl alternative, there’s a delicate piece, also at Adin, which has a luscious white seed pearl in an 18k bi-color ring. It’s a French design, dated circa 1910 to 1920 and has been set in yellow and white gold (or perhaps a little platinum as well) with a genuine natural seed pearl. It’s in excellent condition and would make an exquisite pearl engagement ring for just $245.
Adin Antique Jewelry with Natural Pearls
There are many white pearl jewelry designs at Adin in a wide range of prices, from a few hundred dollars to several thousand, however, the majority of the pearls are small seed pearls, simply because cultured pearls were not on the widely available on the market until the 1900s, and have only in last few decades become available to average buyers at affordable prices. Most antique designs will therefore have natural pearls, which means someone dove down into the sea or a lake and found oysters with these pearls – therefore they are considered natural or wild.
Although the cultured pearl forms in an oyster the same way as a natural one, they are started by pearl farmers who insert a small mother of pearl or other irritant into the mollusk’s tissue which starts the pearl creation process. These pearls are often large round white pearls that previously were not only rare to find, but so expensive an average person could not afford them. If you have your heart set on a large pearl that’s lustrous white, then read on because we have a few more suggestions on where to get even more fabulous bargains.

Although we’ve mentioned a particularly expensive piece from the Ross Simons collection, in the black and white pearl ring section, Ross Simons has some very, very affordable white pearl ring designs that start at just $65. They’re all real pearl jewelry designs, not imitations, and they’re all set in 925 sterling silver!
Another beautiful piece is a cultured white pearl ring with diamonds set in a twisted rope14kt gold band. The 11mm pearl is lustrous white and really stands out in this delicate mounting. It’s priced at $225, with matching drop earrings for $135, and pearl bracelets for about $150.
Delicate Keshi Pearl Ring
If you want something graceful and unusual, there’s a delicate Keshi pearl ring, all white, with petals around four white pearls, and .10ct diamonds, in a 14k gold ring. It’s a fairytale jewelry design for ladies who appreciate fine craftsmanship. It’s affordably priced at just under $300. Exact matching Keshi pearl earrings are not available, but there are some similar designs that could make lovely sets.
Two Classic White Pearl Engagement Rings
