Gold Pearl Ring (Part X)

Shecy-gold-pearl-ring0001

A gold pearl ring may be one of two things: a yellow or white gold ring with a pearl of any color, or a golden akoya or South Sea pearl set in a ring of any color. No mater which you’re looking for we have suggestions for the most affordable high quality gold pearl jewelry.

Golden Pearls

Gold pearl rings that feature large golden akoya or South Sea pearls are not your traditional engagement or wedding rings, but certainly make for a beautiful alternative to white pearls or diamonds. And if you’re looking for an elegant cocktail ring, a single large gold pearl will be sure to give the final touch to any evening outfit. In this article we focus on rings made with golden pearls that are set in 18K white or yellow gold bands. If you wish to view gold rings with white, pink, lavender or black pearls, please select the appropriate topic from the table at the bottom of this article.

Shecy Golden Pearl Jewelry

Shecy Pearl Jewelry is one of the leading outlets for fine pearls in all varieties and colors, but they have an exceptionally good selection of golden South Sea and akoya pearl rings which we feature at Jewelry & Accessories. Here are the top designs we recommend:

We start with the least expensive piece, which retails for $253, and has an 8mm golden akoya pearl set in white gold (or you can order a yellow gold ring if you prefer). This piece is an ideal engagement ring since it’s accented with three diamonds on either side and could easily be paired with a plain wedding band or an eternity ring. The pearl is a Chinese akoya, grade AAA, with the highest luster, thick nacre, and a 98% flawless surface.

This is a very affordable high quality piece, which can be paired with a three strand bracelet for just $169, a pair of gold pearl earrings, a matching pendant, or a single strand necklace, also for a very reasonable price. It’s important that when selecting your golden pearl jewelry you choose pieces that match the tones as identically as possible since there are many variants. It’s best to buy all akoya or all South Sea, and better if you make your purchases for the set from one source to ensure the best possible match. Not all companies sell the same shade of gold pearls, but as you’ll see later in this article, it’s possible to match jewelry from different companies taking care to select the same quality.

Pearl Cluster Rings

The next two gold pearl rings we suggest are ladies cocktail pieces, since they are a pearl cluster ring design that’s quite eccentric, one with fourteen pearls and the other with four. The first one has 6mm akoya pearls and a diamond swirled through the cluster with a gold loop. It costs $455. Really a great bargain!

The second has four 7.5mm large golden akoya pearls set onto a bed of delicate diamond studded leaves. It retails for $654, since the pearls are larger and the setting has more diamonds. However, either ring is good value for such unusual rings with so many pearls of top AAA quality. There are matching gold pearl earrings for each of these rings, one pair sells for just $53, and are also akoya.

14k Pearl Ring by Perluna

Perluna-Gold-Pearl-Ring0001

For a cheap 14k pearl ring there’s one by Perluna that has a golden akoya pearl and retails for just $95! The pearl is a slightly lesser grade than the ones we’ve recommended above, but this ring may be the perfect way to start your pearl jewelry collection. It would make a gorgeous promise ring, and is cheap enough to be a good Christmas present for a young lady. The pearl is just 6.5mm, so it’s not too large for slender fingers, and it comes in a size 4, so it won’t be too big. (It also comes in larger sizes, up to a size 10 ring.) There’s another delicate piece by Perluna that comes in small sizes for young ladies and is simple yet graceful, and retails for just $110. It’s also a 14k pearl ring with a light golden akoya, with good luster, set in a slim gold band (white or yellow).

Bold Gold and Pearl Rings by Heavenly Treasures

For something stunning and unconventional, there’s a bold piece by Heavenly Treasures that really shines, not just because of the 11.5mm golden South Sea pearl, but also because of the 1.19 carats of diamonds that surround it on a wide 18k white gold band. This is a royal piece, for cocktails or as an elaborate wedding ring. It’s not exactly cheap at $2,250, but when you consider the investment quality South Sea pearl, and over a carat of diamonds, we conclude this ring is good value.

If you need gold pearl earrings to match, unfortunately Heavenly Treasures only carries one pair, and they are actually golden mother of pearl earrings in 18k white gold with diamonds, and retail for $649. They may not be South Sea pearls, but they are the same golden color and are recommended as a possible match for the cocktail ring above.

There is a pair of earrings from Shecy, however, that would match the bold Heavenly Treasures ring very well, since each earring has a similar 11mm South Sea golden pearl in a very elaborate diamond design. They are investment quality and therefore cost $3,285, but they’re exquisite pieces of flawless pearl jewelry.

Gold 2 Pearl Ring by Shecy

The final piece of gold pearl jewelry we recommend is also from Shecy Pearls, and it stands out for two reasons: first it is a two pearl ring with two 12mm golden South Sea pearls and a gold band with .12 carats of diamonds. It’s a masterful creation for $1,237.

This ring has identical matching gold pearl earrings, also double pearls, for $2,459. These pearls come from Australia and boast very high luster and thick nacre, so that they can be considered pieces in which to invest.

Rich Golden Tones

If you want pearl jewelry that’s not white or pink, but you’re not keen on black pearls, then the rich tones of the golden varieties are not only a good option for a fashion statement, but are of high quality and a good investment. Whether you choose to set them in white or yellow gold mountings will depend entirely on you, since both metals are about the same price.
